The Perfect Bra Style for Your Shape

When it comes to finding your perfect bra, the right size is only part of the equation! There are so many different styles of bras to choose from (Plunge, Balconette, T-Shirt...), so we thought we'd break down which styles are the best for different breast and body types.

Read on to find your perfect bra style!

1. The Plunge Bra

Wide-set Breasts | Small-busted | Cleavage Boosting
Plunge Bras are cut for minimal coverage and maximum cleavage. Perfect for those with wide-set breasts, a plunge style will help to lift and pull the breasts closer together. This style is also great for smaller-busted women or any ladies looking to accentuate their curves without padding.

2. The Balconette Bra

Works for Most Breast Shapes | Not Recommended for Sloped or Narrow Shoulders
Balconettes are cut quite straight across, with minimal coverage cups and very wide-set straps. This style of bra is typically seamed in the middle of the cup, offering a good amount of support for fuller busts. Balconettes work well on most women, but those with sloped or very narrow shoulders should steer clear - the straps are likely set too wide to stay comfortably in place.

3. The Full Cup Bra

Full-busted | Bell-shaped | Breasts with Lost Volume
Full Cup or Full Coverage Bras offer the most support, making them ideal for women with fuller busts. The cups on this style are often constructed with multiple pieces of fabric, reinforced with 2 or 3 seams which give that next level shaping and support. Full cup bras, which are also available in seamless, contoured fabrics, are great for women with lost volume or women with bell-shaped breasts (slimmer at the top, rounded at the bottom).

4. The Bralette (Wire-Free)

Small-busted | Great for Lounging
Bralettes, or Wire-Free Bras are ideal for small-busted women and those that don't want a ton of support or lift. These styles are typically more minimal and don't offer quite as much in the way of shaping, but are still loved by many of our full-busted clients for their comfort.

5. The T-Shirt Bra

Works for All Breast Shapes | Good Nipple Coverage
T-Shirt Bras are ideal for just about any breast shape. This style is lined, offering a smooth, seamless look under clothing. The perfect choice for women who don't want to worry about their nipples showing, this bra style is a no-brainer for everyday wear.

6. The Front Closure Bra

Wide-set Breasts | Limited Flexibility
Front Closure Bras work wonderfully for women with limited flexibility as most find them easier to put on. The clasp is at the front, leaving a smooth, seamless back. Those with wide-set breasts will like how this style of bra pulls their breasts closer together, but the style will work on most women.

7. The Convertible Bra

Works for All Breast Shapes | Narrow Shoulders | Great Versatility
Convertible or Multi-way bras are a must-have for any woman's lingerie drawer. They offer versatility - sometimes up to 5 different configurations - so you don't need to worry about how to wear that halter dress. The ability to create a cross-back is great for women with narrow or sloped shoulders who find their straps often slip down.
