Grab a soft tape measure, or a piece of string and a ruler.
Put on your best fitting, unpadded bra. If you need to put on a shirt while measuring, make sure it’s thin enough that it won’t impact your measurements.
Stand in front of a mirror to make sure your tape measure or string stays put.
Wrap your tape measure around your back and across your ribcage. The tape measure should feel tight, but not tight enough to dig in. Once this is done, note the measurement in inches.
Wrap your tape measure around our back and across the fullest part of your bust. The tape measure should not be pulled very tight. Once this is done, note the measurement in inches.
Find your band size in the chart and subtract it from your bust measurement to get your cup size.
When you're trying on a new bra you should always have it on the loosest hook and eye. The hook and eyes are used to gradually tighten the band so the bra lasts longer. If you're always using the tightest hook and eye, this may be an indication that you’re wearing the wrong band size.
Something else to keep in mind is that if you’ve measured yourself and your size doesn’t fit properly, don’t be discouraged. Believe it or not, not all bras fit the same! The sizing can differ slightly depending on the brand, material and style.
